Almirall – Barcelona

The Almirall facilities, designed by Area Zero, combine architecture, technology, and comfort to create meeting spaces conducive to collaboration and decision-making. The project integrates acoustic solutions from ECOcero, manufactured using RTF (Regenerative Textile Fiber), a regenerative textile material developed from recycled resources and designed to offer high acoustic performance with a significantly reduced environmental impact. Engineering, design, and sustainability are integrated into a single material solution.

The project incorporates a large-format acoustic suspended ceiling system that improves the room’s sound conditioning without interfering with the linear lighting, climate control, or audiovisual equipment. This solution allows for reverberation control and ensures excellent speech intelligibility, an essential aspect in spaces intended for meetings, presentations, and videoconferences.

The design is completed with vertical slatted cladding that adds warmth and visual continuity, creating an elegant, functional environment that is perfectly integrated with the office’s architectural style. The result is a space where technology, acoustics, and design work together to offer a more comfortable and efficient experience for its users.
