Our Flap, Meet and Lumomesh acoustic panels have been awarded three iF Design Awards, which recognize the best design products on an international scale. Flap is the result of the collaboration between ECOcero and Rafa Ortega, while Meet and Lumomesh arise from the alliance with Erico Navazo and The Room Studio, respectively.
Efficiency and creativity are some of the values to which the prestigious jury pays attention, which evaluates each participant according to the criteria of idea, form, function, differentiation and social and sustainable impact.
“These awards bring great joy and satisfaction to all of us who are part of ECOcero, as well as to the designers we work with. Since our beginnings in 2017, we set out to connect acoustics, sustainability and design inseparably, so it is an honor to receive these recognitions for the excellence of our designs. This shows us that we are on the right path and that we still have a lot to contribute to improve the acoustic comfort of spaces,” says the executive director of ECOcero, Jorge Bellido.
Flap by Rafa Ortega for ECOcero
Flap is a sound-absorbing technical ceiling, designed by Rafa Ortega and made up of two-color slats arranged horizontally that can rotate 360º. The movement and color change of the slats allows the collection to adapt to the technical and aesthetic needs of each space. It relies on origami techniques to work on concepts such as symmetries, rotations and translations when giving movement and three-dimensionality to the flat shapes of the acoustic panels.
In addition to regulating acoustic comfort, Flap allows you to modify the volume of the room and influence moods thanks to chromotherapy. The position of each panel and its perspective create shapes, gradients, optical games and lenticular effects with a high visual impact. It also makes it possible to easily hide industrial ceiling installations.
Lumomesh by The Room Studio for ECOcero
The Room Studio creates Lumomesh, a series of illuminated acoustic panels that combine light, design and versatility to adapt to any environment. It lacks predefined patterns and favors optimal acoustic conditioning mixed with the warmth of lighting.
This product allows total customization in terms of lighting and color, creating unique and cozy environments, whether on walls, ceilings or architectural details. Its creation enhances the versatility of acoustic solutions.
