BEATS has been awarded by the Archiproducts Awards 2023 for its eco-design and sustainability, being created from recycled PET plastic

BEATS is made up of two lamps: BREZEE, a ceiling piece that evokes the sound of air; and HUMMINGBIRD, inspired by the song of the same bird

Sant Vicent del Raspeig (Alicante), November 17, 2023.- The company ECOcero, specialist in sustainable acoustic solutions, has created two new lamps, in collaboration with the designer Noé Prades, which combine design, lighting and acoustic comfort thanks to the sustainable sound-absorbing materials that the brand uses in all its collections.

The collection, called BEATS, has just been recognized at the Archiproducts Awards 2023 as Sustainability Winner for its ecodesign and sustainability, since the lamps have been created from recycled PET plastic. The designer himself, Noé Prades, has collected the award together with María García, Co-Foundering Partner of ECOcero and Director of Finance, and Miguel Hernández, Director of the technical department of ECOcero.

BEATS It consists of two lamps: Breeze is a ceiling model that “evokes the beat and sound of air through the silhouette and function of acoustic materials,” according to the designer. The lamp Hummingbird It is inspired by the song of the colorful bird of the same name and proposes three vibrant shades. In addition, it can be placed horizontally, vertically, tilted or attached to the wall.

For Prades, these two proposals balance creativity and functionality, and provide multiple benefits to spaces, since their acoustic qualities allow them to absorb sound and, at the same time, provide their function as lighting and their design aesthetics.

The two Prades designs They are part of the new ECOcero catalog, for which he has collaborated with five renowned Spanish designers and studios, to each of whom they have presented two proposals: a line of acoustic solutions and a second piece, as a work of art, which It will be published in a limited way and the proceeds from it will go to charity projects. related to the environment and childhood.

“My philosophy is always connect with nature through sensory materials and, within the space, generate warm and welcoming atmospheres for those who will inhabit them. Working with ECOcero acoustic comfort materials, for the first time, has been a very original experience from a research point of view,” the designer commented on the experience.

Sustainability has been the hallmark and mission of ECOcero since its inception in 2017: all its acoustic solutions are manufactured from recycled plastic. These materials are very versatile and open up endless possibilities, as they can be folded, cut, glued and die-cut, among many other options.

“We wanted to open a new stage in the brand's history, hand in hand with design and interior design. We have been collaborating with different designers for more than a year to ensure that their creativity elevates the possibilities of acoustic materials. Sustainability and design join forces, thus, to promote acoustic comfort and provide architects, interior designers and decorators with the tools they need for their projects,” explains Jorge Bellido, CEO of ECOcero.

Noé Prades' proposals coexist, in the brand's new catalogue, alongside the sound-absorbing panels of Erico Navazo and the upcoming creations of Alejandra Pombo, Masquespacio and The Room Studio.
