“Love is in the AID” is presented as a moving collection of 45 large-format photographs illustrating the work done by ASF in regions ranging from Africa to Latin America and Spain. ASF, founded in 1992, is a non-governmental development organization (NGDO) that works under principles of political, religious and economic independence. Its objective is to defend human rights by improving habitability and defending a decent habitat. Over the years, ASF has carried out projects ranging from building basic infrastructure to developing educational programs that encourage greater awareness of the importance of sustainable architecture.
The projects presented in “Love is in the AID” cover a wide range of initiatives, from the construction of schools and health centers to the implementation of drinking water and sanitation systems. These projects not only improve the physical conditions of spaces, but also strengthen communities by encouraging cooperation and local development.
The Traveling Exhibition
After its inauguration in Barcelona, at the headquarters of the Official College of Architects of Catalonia (COAC), the exhibition will visit several Spanish cities throughout the year. Each location will offer visitors the opportunity to experience firsthand how architecture can serve as a catalyst for social change.
Featured Event in Alicante
The Territorial College of Architects of Alicante invites you to visit this photographic exhibition at its headquarters. The inauguration will take place on Wednesday, April 24 and will feature a round table of specialists:
- Nieves Esparza, President of ASF Levante, who will act as moderator.
- Elisa Rodriguez, Technician of the Asertos program, will present the local action of ASF and the Asertos program in Alicante.
- Michael Soriano, Expatriate in Guatemala, will share experiences about ASF's international cooperation and the specific case of Guatemala.
Special Events and Community Involvement
At ECOcero, we will take advantage of the occasion to organize special events around the exhibition. For example, on May 9, our facilities will host a special day where attendees will be able to enjoy the presentation of outstanding projects, the screening of a documentary about the work of ASF and a catering that will allow attendees to exchange impressions in a relaxed and constructive environment.
