The recent interior reform project and equipment for the new offices of transperfect in Warsaw, Poland, focused on creating an innovative, authentic and functional office environment. Inspired by the idea of generating fresh and stimulating spaces for the staff, the work areas were specifically designed to adapt to the needs of each work team.

The office is divided into a north wing and a south wing. The first houses the recording rooms and support work areas for this team. In contrast, the south wing is an entire operational zone filled with jobs called the "Data Force." The different requirements were key to the differentiation of areas within the office and the creation of a WorkCafé as a connection area between the two wings, favoring the meeting between employees and allowing informal meetings and rest spaces.

Open spaces seek to encourage interaction and communication, creating a feeling of spaciousness and making the most of natural light. The selected ergonomic furniture meets safety and comfort criteria, and wood finishes with sound-absorbing properties have been used to improve acoustic comfort in these spaces.

Corporate tones are incorporated at strategic points, creating harmonious spaces that evoke tranquility and well-being. A distinctive element is a multifunctional dividing unit, which is repeated along the rows of tables, functioning as a focal point and as a support and decoration module.

Taking acoustic comfort into account, the integration of recycled ECOcero acoustic panels has been chosen, designed to measure and manufactured from recycled plastic bottles. These panels, in addition to being a sustainable and eco-friendly solution, improve the acoustics of the spaces and contribute to the general aesthetics of the offices.

This draft transperfect in Warsaw is a clear example of how interior design can create a dynamic and stimulating work environment, with a strong awareness of sustainability and well-being for its employees.

Why acoustically condition an office?

  1. Reduction blood pressure: According to the WHO, constant noise can increase blood pressure, so good acoustic conditioning can help keep it at healthy levels (WHO, 2011).
  2. Improvement of the Quality of Video Calls and Conferences: According to the University of Salford, proper acoustic conditioning can improve sound quality in video calls and conferences (Tanner, CK, 2000).
  3. Improvement in Work Safety: According to a National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) study, good acoustic conditioning can improve workplace safety by allowing alerts and warnings to be heard clearly (NIOSH, 1998).
  4. Best Work Environment for People with Noise Sensitivity: A study from the University of Gothenburg suggests that an acoustically adequate environment can provide a better working environment for people with noise sensitivity (Persson Waye, K., et al., 2002).
  5. Added Value to the Property: Columbia University suggests that good acoustic conditioning can add value to the property, which can be beneficial if considering the sale or rental of the office in the future (Gujarathi, MR, & McLaughlin, CP, 2007).
