Actiu

The Actiu Technology Park, located in Castalla (Alicante), is an innovative production and design space focused on the manufacture of furniture for work and contract spaces. With an extension of more than 215.000 m², this avant-garde complex is the result of the vision and commitment of Actiu with sustainability, energy efficiency and the promotion of a healthy and collaborative work environment.

The architectural design of the park, the work of Jose Maria Tomas Llavador, was conceived following environmental and social responsibility criteria. In this sense, the park has systems for the use of solar and wind energy, as well as water management systems and natural air conditioning. All this has allowed the Actiu Technological Park be awarded the LEED® Platinum certified, the highest level in terms of sustainable building. In addition to its ecological commitment, Actiu encourages creativity and collaboration among its employees. The park houses open and flexible spaces that promote interaction and the exchange of ideas. Likewise, the park has sports facilities and green areas that contribute to the well-being and quality of life of its workers.

Why acoustically condition a hotel?

  1. Attract a more diverse audience: According to the European Commission (2015), acoustic conditioning can make hotels more attractive to a wider audience, including those with hearing disabilities.
  2. Improves brand reputation: A study published in the Journal of Product & Brand Management (2018) found that sustainability practices, including acoustic conditioning, can improve brand reputation.
  3. Long-term cost reduction: Although acoustic conditioning requires initial investment, it can lead to cost reduction in the long run due to fewer complaints and repairs (Hagerman et al., 2012).
  4. Promotes a modern image: Modern acoustic materials can help create a contemporary image for the hotel, which is attractive to many travelers today (Architect's Newspaper, 2020).
  5. Improves the performance of audio systems: Acoustic conditioning materials can improve the performance of audio systems in hotel entertainment areas (ProSoundWeb, 2017).
